2-Week Expedited Training

The 2 week expedited course has been carefully crafted to accommodate students who may have challenges relating to a 4 week commitment without jeopardizing the amount of drive time, classroom time,  or range time a student would typically receive in a traditional 4 week course.  A student evaluation is required to determine if a 2 week expedited course is appropriate for the student’s situation.

In addition, the 2 week course is designed to prepare our students for an entry level position after successfully acquiring their Class A CDL license. Most major carriers are now requiring a minimum amount of classroom hours combined with drive time and off road maneuvers to be considered for hire. This course is designed to accommodate these requirements for the student that has challenges relating to a 4 week commitment.

The student will receive one-on-one drive time everyday with a state certified instructor. In most cases, the student will receive personal training on the range as well as the pre-trip inspection. The focus of the 2 week course is training the student on the safe operation of a commercial motor vehicle. Classroom time is spent between a comprehensive defensive driving course and hours of service rules and regulations as defined by the Federal Motor Carriers Safety Regulations (paper logs as well as electronic logs are emphasized).

At the completion of the course, arrangements for a State Certified Third Party Test will be made at no additional cost. Passing the State Administered test will be reliant on the actual extent of dedication during training, preparation by the student, individual skills and ability and attitude or behavior during the test.
